Passat from Thailand Need Help

Hi Everybody

I am the Passat owner, I am living in Bangkok Thailand.
I need help from you.
I would like to find some spare part for restorationg my Passat.
(VW Passat year 1974, ZB Enginge, 1500CC, Single Carburatore= Solex 30/35 PDSIT, Manual Trans.,)

I would like to find and buy Front and Rear windscreen (windshield) rubber. Front and Rear Spring, Rear Shock Absorber, Solex 30/35 PDSIT Carburator, Tail light L + R, Signal Light L+R (in Chrome. Bumper).

All of spare part above, I can't find these spare part in my country.

Please help me.

At least not the cheapest way to find the parts you listed up above might be this adress:

It is an offical site by Volkswagen, where they have parts for older models by VW in stock.


You probably know ebay. Have a look here http://www.ebay.de and search for your items and "vw passat typ 32 33".

I guess my collegues here in this forum will show other adresses where you could order your parts.

And green tinted glass as your car has is a very very rare option.

At first: Very nice Passat !!! I´ve never seen green coloured windows in a so early Passat.

But now to the parts your are looking for.

Unfortunately, it is also very difficult in Germany to get parts to an old Passat. From VW direct only a few technical parts are to get. The old Passat is here in Germany, even a car for a few individuals.
And in germany there is no specialized dealer for passat parts. Some parts are identical from the Audi 80 and there is a dealer:

Shock absorbers we can get from the the accessories dealers. Still
The absorbers for the front, you can take from a Passat or Audi till 1988.
Ligths are already difficult to get. But sometimes appear something on ebay. You can try it also at ebay USA. The passat in USA called "Dasher".

Very very very hard to get, are rubbers for the windows. Especially the windshield seal for the early model with the top corners. Many people here are looking for these parts, too. For a long long time....

A carburatore in new condition is the same theme. Very hard to get. Sometimes used parts are offerd at ebay.
